Joe Biden， former U.S。 vice president and Democratic presidential candidate， hosted a town hall on April 28 where former Secretary of State Hillary Clintonsaid the U.S。 needs a “real president。”

“Not just somebody who plays one on TV， but somebody who gets up every morning， worried about the people that he is responsible for leading during this crisis，” she added。

She endorsed Joe Biden to be the U.S。 president， saying he has the compassion and competence to lead the country out of the coronavirus crisis。

福奇：新冠病毒定会卷土重来

4月28日，华盛顿经济俱乐部（Economic Club of Washington）举办了一场视频会议，第一个被采访的就是美国首席传染病专家安东尼·福奇。

当被问及今年晚些时候是否会有第二波新冠肺炎疫情来袭时，福奇表示，“在我看来，新冠病毒会不可避免的卷土重来。”他提示，“新冠病毒不会从地球上消失。”

当谈到重启经济的措施时，福奇强调，“如果过早地或者不成功地重启了经济，我们可能面临失控的局面，疫情可能会反弹到几周前的状况。因此我们必须十分谨慎，才能从封锁状态过渡到某种程度的正常状态。”

White House health adviser Dr。 Anthony Fauci on Tuesday warned of the coronavirus‘ return during an interview with The Economic Club of Washington。

“In my mind， it‘s inevitable that we will have a return of the virus， or maybe even that it never went away，” he said， adding that the U.S。 “could be in for a bad fall” if effective treatments were not found by then to fight the virus。

Fauci also warned against the reopening of businesses， saying that premature and unsuccessful measures might lead to a rebound of the coronavirus outbreak。

“重启经济不能过早”，对于特朗普来说大概不会是容易接受的建议。

4月16日，特朗普宣布将分三阶段重启美国经济。对此福奇曾强调，重启经济的核心是保证公众安全。

但17日，特朗普连发三条推文支持民众反抗当地的封城措施和居家令。19日，全美多地爆发游行示威，数千人走上街头要求解除禁令尽快复工。
