新华社北京3月23日电（记者 吴俊宽）世界田联北京时间23日在官网发表声明，表示如果东京奥运会推迟举办，世界田联愿意全力配合。

“世界田径联合会乐意与国际奥委会（IOC）就推迟举办2020年东京奥运会的相关事宜展开讨论。”世界田联在声明中说，“今天（22日）早些时候，我们已经向IOC致信反映了各大洲田径联合会主席、理事会以及运动员们的意见。我们时刻准备与IOC和全球体育界共同协商决定东京奥运会延期的时间。”

欧洲当地时间22日，IOC发表声明宣布推迟举行东京奥运是“选项之一”。IOC表示将在未来四周内完成对疫情的评估，包括对推迟举办可能性的评估。
